Description
Terre D’italia Tiger is a transpiring and ecological decorative paint for interior use, based on natural oxides and resins in an aqueous solution. Containing white flocculi, it is extremely easy to apply, and its final antique effect adds a touch of elegance and refinement. These qualities make it suitable for every type of environment and style.
Terre D’italia Tiger is also available with gold flocculi (Terre D’italia Tiger Gold) and silver flocculi (Terre D’italia Tiger Silver). Additionally, the decorative effect can be enhanced with different additives, including Perlato Oro, Perlato Argento, and Perlato Alluminio.
Application
- The surface to be treated must be dry. Conditions and thickness of the plaster layer affect the drying and hardening time, so make sure it has at least 28 days of curing time, depending on temperature.
- The substrate has to be well prepared and suitable for coating: dry plaster, not any granules from plaster. In case of old walls make sure there is no poor or dusty paint: remove them if necessary as well as flaking paint.
- Apply 1 coat of Scik Pural Acril insulation if necessary.
- Choose the base (Tiger, Tiger Oro, Tiger Argento) and the color by consulting the color chart.
- Apply one or two coats of white Decor Fondo o Di Decor Fondo Sabbiato. In choosing to apply Terre D’italia Tigergold O Silver, please colour Decor Fondo as indicated on the folder. Use Decor Fondo thinned at 5-10% with water.
- Apply Terre D’italia Tiger using the special Spalter 70 or 100 tool in a uniform manner, reproducing alternating sections, in order to spread the product over the entire surface.
- After 15-20 minutes, using the special Spatola Td tool, squeeze the flocculi and finish the product.
- To appreciate the final effect, allow the product to dry completely for 6-12 hours.
Caution:
The flocculi in the product are obtained by chemical reaction, for this reason: we cannot guarantee the same characteristics from one flocculi to another; stability is also limited in time. It is therefore recommended to use the same lot for the same work to be carried out. If this is not possible, manually mix the batches together (do not use an electromechanical tool).
Notes:
1. Please note that due to technical reasons caused by the tinting of the product the indicated Specific Weight of the product may differ from the package net weight.
2. In the original, sealed containers and in appropriate temperature conditions. The period of stability is purely indicative, and refers to the minimum stability period of the product if stored ideal conditions according to the instructions provided. If properly stored the products stability period may extend several years.
