Travertino

Description

Travertino is a new top-quality Italian natural lime-based decorative product. It comes in powder form and is to be mixed with water. Its ease of application allows you to achieve the effect of modern and classical Italian marble and travertine stones. Travertino is available in two grain sizes: Fine and Coarse.

Application

1. Make sure the surface is completely dry. If the surface is plastered, make sure it had a curing time of at least 28 days, depending on temperature.

2. Make sure that the media has been well prepared and is suitable for coating: plaster must be dry, not have any granules, on old walls, make sure that there is no poor quality or powdery paint, remove flaking paint etc.

3. Apply 1 coat of Scik Pural Acril primer if necessary.

4. Apply with a brush or roller one or two coats of Decor Fondo Primer diluted with 5-10 % water.

5. Mix Travertino Powder with 30-35 % of water, in order to create a homogeneous paste workable with a steel trowel.

6. Apply evenly to the first coat of stucco (white, not colored) with a stainless-steel trowel. Allow to dry completely. Continue with the desired effect.

Damascato effect: Points 1-6 as indicated above, hence:

• Apply the second coat with the same tool and dab with a stainless-steel trowel.

• Prior to complete drying smooth with steel trowel. Allow to dry completely.

• Apply Sahara (Silver or Gold) with glitter using a sponge according to personal taste.

Striped Effect Points 1-6 as indicated above, hence:

• Once you applied the second coat, when the area is still fresh, scratch horizontally from right to left the surface. Scratching with the cutting blade of the stainless-steel trowel that you are using.

• Smooth lightly the entire surface with a trowel. During this phase the typical effect of roman marble will become evident.

• After complete drying, you can paint the surface with a finish (Sahara Gold or Silver colored with Toner TN), or protect it with protective Hydro Finish Matte, depending on the desired effect.

Beton Colored Travertino Effect Steps 1-5 as shown above, hence:

• Apply evenly the first coat of stucco (previously colored with Toner TN) with a stainless-steel trowel. Allow to dry completely.

• Apply the second coat with the same tool and smooth using stainless steel trowel.

• Color Travertino with the chosen Toner TN.

Beton Effect with Colored Hydro Finish Steps 1-6 as shown above:

Apply the second coat with the same tool at the same time smooth using a stainless-steel trowel.

Once completely dry, paint the surface with Hydro Finish Matt (colored with Toner TN) to obtain the desired effect. Special Effects- Depending on personal taste you can also simulate the shape of bricks or blocks of marble. This effect could be achieved by applying paper tape before the second coat, creating the texture of the bricks or blocks of marble. When you have finished applying the second coat, remove the tape prior to drying. You will obtain a distinguishable brick effect

1. Please note that due to technical reasons caused by the tinting of the product the indicated Specific Weight of the product may differ from the package net weight.

2. In the original, sealed containers and in appropriate temperature conditions. The period of stability is purely indicative, and refers to the minimum stability period of the product if stored ideal conditions according to the instructions provided. If properly stored the products stability period may extend several years.
