Plaster made of lime and marble dust

Marmorino Rustic for interior and exterior use recalls the aesthetic effects of the plaster typical of the Italian “Risorgimento.” The composition, made of lime, marble dust, and natural fillers, renews the natural permeability of the surface, making it resistant to mold and bacteria. It adheres well to the substrate and, like all products made of lime, allows the wall to breathe. Particularly appreciated in classical environments, and depending on the color used, it can also be combined with modern decor. It is also suitable for decorating exterior facades of homes or buildings.

Application

1. Make sure the surface is completely dry. If the surface is plastered, make sure it had a curing time of at least 28 days, depending on temperature.
2. Make sure that the media has been well prepared and is suitable for coating: plaster must be dry, not have any granules, on old walls, make sure that there is no poor quality or powdery paint, remove flaking paint etc.
3. Apply 1 coat of Scik Pural Acril primer if necessary.
4. Apply with a brush or roller one or two coats of Decor Fondo Primer diluted with 5-10 % water.
5. Apply 1 coat of Marmorino with the stainless-steel trowel, smoothing the surface completely. The thickness of this first coat will be’ decorated by the grain of Marmorino.
6. Once completely dry (about 24 hours), apply a 2nd coat of the product with irregular strokes and gentle pressure to smooth the surface.
7. Prior to complete drying polish with a clean stainless-steel trowel.
8. To achieve a shiny polish or to protect and make the surface completely washable, apply a coat of Cera D´Arte Neutra or Hydrocera Neutra (see data sheet) or Hydrofinish Opaco (Matt) for a matt finish.

Outdoor Protection:

For outdoor protection, apply Hydro Finish Opaco or Hydro Finish Special as recommended in the data sheet. These coatings protect exterior surfaces from weathering, moisture, and environmental damage while preserving the natural beauty of the Marmorino Rustic finish. Durable and long-lasting.
